Acara diawali dengan penjelasan oleh Pak Gemal Bakri kepada tamu undangan tentang kegiatan beliau selama ini dalam memanfaatkan halaman samping dan belakang rumahnya sebagai kolam ikan lele dan nila, serta kebun untuk menanam sayur-sayuran.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Acara juga diisi dengan kegiatan memasak ikan lele hasil serta makan bersama dengan menu Ikan Lele Goreng dan Sayur Lalapan. Ikan lele tersebut merupakan hasil panen dari kolam ikan milik Politeknik Indonesia-Venezuela (POLIVEN), yang merupakan bagian dari program penelitian CoMU Project tentang pemanfaatan limbah organik rumah tangga untuk pembuatan pakan ternak. Sedangkan sayur lalapan merupakan hasil kebun Pak Gemal yang merupakan bagian dari program Communal Garden CoMU Project. Saat ini di kebun Pak Gemal sudah ada tanaman tomat, cabai, seledri, selada, ubi kayu (singkong) dan sayuran lainnya untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Melihat keberhasilan Pak Gemal tersebut, sebagian \u00a0ibu-ibu yang merupakan masyarakat desa Lambung juga berminat untuk menanam sayur-sayuran di halaman rumah mereka. Beberapa ibu tersebut langsung berdiskusi dengan Camat Meuraxa untuk mendapat dukungan dari pihak Kecamatan agar kelompok ibu-ibu ini dapat juga memiliki kebun seperti pak Gemal.
